5.1.9.1 Scenario

The U.S. Army Special Forces Command’s (USASFC) SFAS course obtains Soldiers from the Army. The SFAS has experienced an elevated level of attrition rates of Soldiers they are recruiting from the enlisted and officer ranks. Their concern is that the high attrition rates will stop the Special Forces community from being fully mission capable, according to regulatory requirements, and increase the cost of recruiting and assessing future Soldiers. Their research question will determine the proportions of Selected or Non-Selected enlisted and/or officer Soldiers. Selecting the right Soldier with the minimal amount of costs would benefit the U.S. Army’s recruiting program.7 ,  8
